Can Noynoy really lift the Philippines from the ashes?

Below is an article I read from the Philippine Daily Inquirer. It talks about Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino, who is currently running as President of the Republic of the Philippines.

I truly believe, that if Noynoy will stand true to his parent's dreams, he will succeed in lifting the Philippines from the ashes of the current administration.

Enjoy the article!

  1. well, 11 years later, Nonoy Aquino passed away due to health issues... During his term, there were some bad incidents that happened; The Hong Kong Tour Bus incident, the SAF44 incident, Yolanda Super Typhoon incident, etc etc... did he lift the Philippines from the ashes? I guess not. Every leader has his own agenda, a vision on how to make his country better from previous administrations. However, there are several political advisers who have been in office since the Marcos and Aquino regimes. They have their own, separate agenda. And as long as those people are whispering to whoever is in power, then, the vision of that leader gets diminished. And, also, the practice of corruption in all branches of government could never be eliminated.

So, it does not really matter who is the President, as long as there are those with bad intentions, the Philippines will always be "lagging" behind other booming Asian countries...

Duterte is in his last year as President (it is currently August 2021), was he able to lift the Philippines? There were attempts, but then there are powers which pulls his administration down. We'll see.

    Good Luck, Philippines!!!
