8807 RC Toy Drone Review

It's been awhile since I posted something on my Blogsite. Some things have changed eversince my last post. First, I am proud to announce that I am back in the IT world (professionally, or job-wise to be exact). Second, I have a new hobby! And yes, as you have guessed it, I now enjoy flying "TOY DRONES"... well, actually, I only have one, but it sure is a great feeling to be able to fly one of this things!

Ok, after viewing so many beginner drone videos on Youtube, I finally settled on buying the 8807 RC Toy Drone. Thanks mainly to @rcescape and to @thercsaylors for giving positive reviews about the drone, and cementing my mind on making my very first toy drone purchase. (See video links of their reviews below).

It was kinda hard to learn how to fly it at first. But, I also learned the hard way to "NEVER DO YOUR FIRST TEST FLIGHT INDOORS!!!" It is best to always fly a toy drone of this size in a open area, outside, with low to zero wind, especially if you are a first time flyer (like me!!!). Unless you want to lose those silver plastic knobs on the propellers and bend the propellers once they hit the wall, and you have no idea how to turn the power off on your controller. (believe me, it happened to me!)

First things first, just like any electronic devices or gadgets, it is very important to READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL! Unless you already know which buttons to press, then please disregard this advise. Also, as with any electronic devices or gadgets, not all controllers are created equal. So, please read the manual to understand which buttons does what. And take note, the controller buttons are not labelled.

Once you have those buttons in your mind, and knowing which buttons to press, you can now start your first attempt in flying the toy drone. And yes, the drone flies right out of the box. The battery has some charge in it, so it will fly for a solid 5-minutes or more.

Anyway, enough talk. All I can say is, this Toy Drone is GREAT! I am actually planning on purchasing another type of drone, a smaller one, capable of flying indoors.

Enjoy my clips below!
